Mobility in Finland
12-13-14 April 2015: not so far actually…not so cold when you meet the Finnish….
Our journey
has started with 2 planes and 400 km in a car equipped with tires nails, a
premiere for us! How impressed we were discovering the fantastic Finnish
landscape.
After a
warm welcome from one the Finnish student, we went to a quiet place, in the
dark, to live an ultimate experience we like to call now as the “more LÖYLY”
experience: sauna and frozen lake, the bear beers and lot of fun!! A fantastic moment with
fantastic ladies:
The next
day started with a tour in Lapua and Seinajoki with our guide, Tiina.
During this tour, we have visited an
amazing cathedral, an official building full of History and the library, very
different from the ones with have in Belgium: you can stay there to have a coffee and a cake, watch videos, play music or learn
by reading in a cozy alcoves.
Back to the
The Lapua Adult Education Centre we were
amazed by all the activities organized in the Centre: languages courses, music
courses, sewing courses, artistic courses, so many things to do!
Our day
ended with a diner at the hotel with all the partners, students and officials
invited for the occasion: one member of the City Council and Santa…yes… Santa:
Back to the COF we shared of these
memories with the trainees and colleagues, now they are jealous but also definitely
willing to go to Finland. This is what we can call melting distances…
